1954年的英国影戏《轰炸鲁尔水坝记》(TheDamBusters)，这部影戏几近以纪录片的模式记录了第二次世界大战中1943年5月16日晚上英国皇家空军履行的“惩戒行动”。\r\nThisfilm,detailstheAlliedeffortstotargetGermandamsduringWorldWarTwo.Inverymethodical,butalsoenthusiasticfashion,theyfiguredoutwhatplane,whatbomb,whatangle,whataltitude,etc.,werenecessarytoinflictmaximumdamagetothedams,whileminimizinglossestotheplanes.Theanswertheycameupwith,soundsabsurd,butitworked:verylarge,cylindricalbombsrotatingbackwardsatahighrateofspeed,causingthem,whendropped,toskipalongthesurefaceofthewater,rightuptothebaseofthedam.\r\n要炸掉水坝，可不是容易的工作，影戏详细先容了炸弹设计者的设计过程，以及英国军方采纳这个计划的过程(由于乍听起来其实像是天方夜谭)，这个影戏看起来决不有趣，甚至是相配使人冲动地。该片获第28届奥斯卡最好结果奖提名及第9届英国影戏学院最好影戏，最好英国影戏和最好编剧3项提名。
